Casey Tate comes to SMSC from Seton Catholic Preparatory High School in Arizona
where he was the girls' soccer coach and physical education teacher. During his
tenure at Seton Catholic they won 2 Arizona high school state titles in 2006 and
2007. He was named Arizona State Coach of the Year 2007 and 2008, along with
Region Coach of the Year 2007, 2008, and 2010. Coach Tate was the National Soccer
Coaches Association of America Coach of the Year 2006 and 2007.
Casey was an assistant coach on the Chandler-Gilbert staff for 8 years with
numerous national academic and soccer awards, along with a 4th place finish at
the NJCAA Junior College National Tournament. He was on the Arizona Olympic
Development Staff for 4 years and helped run their YOP program. Coach Tate coached
with the Gilbert Arsenal Soccer Club taking his teams to a 1st place in league
and a 4th place in state cup. He also was a volunteer coach for one season
with the WPSL Northern Arizona Cheetahs.
Casey played at the collegiate level at Chandler-Gilbert Community College,
Indiana Institute of Technology, and Arizona State University. He received his
degree from Ottawa University in History.
Currently, Casey is the Director of Soccer Operations at the University of Nevada Reno. He holds his USSF A License. |
